As a supporter of childhood cancer awareness you can “ribbon” your yard (or someone else’s) as a symbol of hope and solidarity for the families and children fighting this disease. Your yellow ribbons are part of a community-wide effort to make Tallahassee “Go Gold” during September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The yellow ribbons are more than just decorations—they’re a powerful symbol of our community’s commitment to finding a cure. This initiative is organized by The Ripple Project, a local nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research and support for local families going through any pediatric cancer diagnosis. Every ribbon you see represents a promise to these kids and their families that they aren’t alone in their fight.
By “ribboning” yards, you can spread this message of hope even further and help fund our mission. Your support directly contributes to finding a cure for childhood cancer and supporting families affected by this disease.
You can purchase a ribbon package to pass on to someone else:
The Ripple Project will come and collect all yard signs the first week of October unless you would like to keep them. If you prefer to keep your yard signs, please email [email protected].
Thank you for being a part of this vital mission. Together, we can create a ripple effect of awareness and support that brings us closer to a cure.
